Samsung ecobubble not always filling

Hi. Quick question.

My washing machine doesn't always fill correctly and start the cycle.

Pressing start, the washing machine will some times start to fill, stop and start and stop filling.

It sounds like a water hammer starting and stopping. Like water running, clunk stop, pause and repeat.

If I turn it off and on then press start. It will empty the water in the machine and try to start again. Sometime it will then work perfectly or repeat the problem.

If I turn the tap on while it's filling I can see the pressure change while it's attempting to fill and then stop and fill again.

Cheers.

Water valves have a very high resistance. Could it be a poor connection on the water valve or inside the valve? Try taking a resistance reading and gently move the connector on the valve up and down to see if the reading goes open circuit.

Also check there isn’t air in the fill hose pipe somehow.

I've never heard water hammer like that. Water hammer it is when the pipes loudly knock against the floorboards or woodwork. However, if the valves are definitely turning on and off and there is a proper water supply to the valves it sounds like a very poor connection or maybe even a faulty solenoid or relay in the PCB somewhere.

No the white goods manufacturers do not supply any service manuals at all unless you are in the trade and pay, at least not in the UK.

Do you know if I can get a service manual? There seems to be Samsung service manuals for other models online. Bit not mine. I messaged Samsung but they wouldn't give me one.

Thanks for the reply.

The drum isnt moving. The sounds is a water hammer effect caused my the solenoids turning on and off.

They are getting 240v not problem and are working.

The water pressure switch is working correctly.

The sound at the start of the video is the water being emptied and gargling.

Tje second half of the video is the water hammer noise of the machine staring to fill, being stopped and trying to fill again.

There is a test menu for these Samsung machines. But I can't find it for my model.

Cheers.

It sounds like a drum turning for half a second with water inside but the drum isn't moving. The only way to see where this noise is coming from is to take off the top on the back panel and carefully locate where the noise is coming from with the ears. Please let us know if you find out what the problem is or more information

That sounds weird. Sorry I’ve not heard it before and struggling to think what it could be. It doesn’t sound like a pump or a water valve or the motor.

Washer will sometimes work fine. But will often do this problem from the video.

I've checked the pressure sensor. It's reading 0 when empty and 20 odd khz when full.

Solenoids seem to be reading a sensible voltage.

Pump out seems to be working okay.
