Maytag clicking noise during agitation.

The noise only happens with the agitation changes direction from counter clockwise to clockwise.

Hi Gonzo. Unfortunately I don't work on top loaders but it sounds like a relay that's trying to kick-start the motor? Just a guess really though it does sound like a relay.

Maybe there's a motor fault but can't advise anything really.

Hi Gonzo. It sounds like it could well be that. I couldn't say for sure though as I've never repaired top loaders. In the UK we just don't really have them. We almost all have front loading washing machines under kitchen worktops.

Can it be the shift actuator?

The washer works fine it just makes that clicking sound, also it only does it when I have it on a specific mode like for example delicate mode… on normal mode it doesn’t make the sound it appears.
