Bosch problem

I have a 4 and half year old Bosch. When I open the door after a wash has finished and "end" comes up on display, a tiny bit of water comes out and dribbles down the front, out of the door. Is this normal to have just a dribble of water coming out, as it doesn't leak during the cycle, just when you open the door?

Small amount of water dribbles from Bosch door when opened after cycle

The problem
A 4.5-year-old Bosch washing machine does not leak during washing, but when the cycle has finished and 'end' is shown, a small amount of water dribbles down the front as the door is opened.
Likely cause
Most strongly supported explanation is water pooling at the bottom of the door seal because the small drain holes in the gasket may be blocked or not draining freely. Overloading was also suggested as a possible contributor, as trapped laundry could hinder water draining back into the drum and pump, but this was not confirmed as the cause.
What fixed it
Check that the three small drain holes at the bottom of the door gasket are clear and clean so water can drain away freely. Also avoid overloading the drum. No confirmed repair outcome was posted.
Checks to try
  • Observed that the machine does not leak during the cycle
  • Water only appears when the door is opened after 'end' is displayed
  • Check whether the three small drain holes at the bottom of the door gasket are clear/clean
  • Check whether water is pooling at the bottom of the door gasket
  • Check that the machine is not being overloaded

Hi, I don't know about a fault that can cause it, but make sure you aren't overloading it as some water may find it difficult to get down inside the drum to run into the pump.

hello @Anya - what you could try and see is if the 3 little drain holes are clear/clean at the bottom of the door gasket and make sure the water is draining freely through them. I am just thinking maybe water could be 'pooling' up at the bottom of the door gasket and as you open the door it overflows down the front of the machine:
