Miele Washing Machine (Spinning Noise)

I did sit on the machine twice today and it was quieter the first time but the metal knocking sound was there the second time.

To get the machine level ( facing the door ) I left the feet on the right as set at the factory and the feet on the left 3 full turns out, to get it level.

I will check the level again tomorrow and try to adjust one foot on the left. I don't have a lot of space either side as it sits in a walk-in cupboard, with brick walls either side and behind the machine.

When the Miele Engineer came to look at the machine. He never checked if it was level or stable, just took my word for it. Also I thought that he would have put it through a wash/spin cycle, to hear the noise but no and just said it's the wooden floor.

And yes the transit bars are out.

Strange, it sounds exactly like mine did — and I can see the washing machine rocking very slightly. It might well be level, but are all 4 feet firmly on the ground so that the washing machine cannot be rocked in any way and is rock solid? With me, it was just one foot that was only just touching the floor or was a millimetre off the floor. Winding the foot out, so that it made proper floor contact, stopped the noise.

The noise was caused by the machine moving a millimetre side to side rocking on the foot rapidly. The foot was hitting the floor many times a minute. I can see it happening with yours. The offending foot seems to be on the left side. I can see the washer rock slightly to the right and then drop back down on one or both of the left feet, and then doing it over and over at high speed. This can happen, but you can still get a perfect reading on a spirit level. If I am right, the noise would stop if you sit on it or maybe press firmly down on it.

Other than that, make sure the two steel transit packaging rods have been removed.

Andy, thank you for your feedback. Yes it's level and I asked the Miele Engineer if it was level enough and he said yes. I sent the video to Miele and the engineer has seen the video but still says it's the floor. I'll try sitting on it tomorrow. But it should not make that noise, it's sounds like metal hitting metal.
