Miele W5740 vibrates on spin
We’ve had our floor tiled and our washer doesn’t seem to like it. I’ve tried moving it about but it still vibrates and makes noise on spin. It is a tight fit but washer doesn’t touch the sides and there’s still fair gap behind. Any idea what could be wrong. It doesn’t vibrate/shake on spin just makes this noise It does vibrate/shake just when it’s about to spin after rinses

Hi. My first guess would be that it’s because it’s wedged against the wooden door frame. The suspension doesn’t absorb all movement from the drum and some is always transferred to the casing which moves slightly from side to side and vibrates. I would guess this is being amplified by the door frame.

Unfortunately it is normal. We have the equivalent of at least a mug-full of water left in ours. It's because the door seals have to be oversized (with the drop that collects water) to allow for all the drum movement on spin when the outer drum can bounce around. The drop in the door seal rubber falls below the drum so they can't have drain holes to drain it or it would just drain onto the floor.

It's been 8 months and our new Miele seems great. There are few niggles that bother me though.
There is a significant amount of water left in the seal after every cycle. Is it normal?
The seal also kinda bends while washing. I haven't noticed anything like this with different machines. Is it normal?
It’s not ideal if a washing machine is wedged anywhere. If it’s going to stay there I would consider removing something but you could always see how it fits and behaves once installed before deciding.

Looks like corrosion has damaged something. I dismantled a bit and the bottom of the washer is in a shocking state.
No point in wasting money and time on it. We were hoping to save money buying second hand, but as it sometimes turns out, you end up paying more.
I wasn't sure about going for another Miele as people say new models aren't as good as old ones but we've settled on another Miele. We've ordered a WCD020 WCS 8kg.
I was thinking about going with Bosch Series 4 WGG04409GB, but Miele has options for using more water in washes and rinses.
What worries me though is that Miele is deeper than Bosch. Should we use a planer or sander on the door frame to make more space between washer and frame or is the new machine going to be able to cope more in a tighter space than the old one?
That last video sounds like the drum is catching on the door seal. I would check the drum pulley isn't loose at the back.

I am absolutely heartbroken. My partner's absolutely furious as I wanted Miele as apparently they were the best.
It seems to be completely broken.
It didn't take much water on a cycle. Spinned on lowest speed. The clothes came out unwashed with dirty water remaining in the drum.
I put it again on a quick wash. Same.
So I moved the water pipe about and luckily it did get more water but as it was about to spin, started making a noise I've not heard before as in the video.
Then when it finished there's some kind of powder like residue inside. It's grey.
What happened to it?

Hi there. It's just the vibration caused by laundry inside the revolving drum, which will be made worse and amplified if it's wedged in. Check that the lid isn't slightly loose. I had to pack thin strips of cardboard between my Miele washing machines lid and the top of the cabinet because despite being fully screwed in at the back it was loose. This caused the lid to rattle and vibrate. If your noise stops when you press the lid down there is a good chance this is the problem.

I've checked and the washer doesn't touch the frame when it's spinning.
It gets noticeably quieter when I push on the top of it.
I've also tried doing an empty spin on 1400. It was perfectly quiet then.
