Kim. Why do you need to replace the drum pulley? Is it cracked somewhere which is unusual or is it that you neeed to remove it to change the drum bearings?

Most if not all Indisets of the the last 20 years have a sealed tank so changing bearings is not going to happen! But to answer the question: you`ll need a very good quality set of Torx socket set (unless it is a normal 13mm socket bolt head as you do not say the model number) and an impact screw driver kit. The screw that holds the pulley to the bearing spider shaft is lockited (just to make it diffiicult!!). Use the impact screw driver and a large heavy hammer to shock the lockite loose from the screw/bolt using the correct torx socket (most torx sockets are 3/8th size whereas the impact s/driver end takes a 1/2" socket so you might have to get a reducer socket inbetween). You then use the torx socket on an extension bar and racket to finally unscrew the the bolt. Not as easy as it sounds: the torx sockets tend to be hard but brittle and often snap. Always use an extension bar because if anything does snap you do not want your hand hitting the sharp chassis which will without fail cut you.
