Miele Stoppped Mid Cycle, Display Dark, Noises From Filter
Hi Miele W3830 stopped mid cycle, full of water the display is not responsive and dark.
Power is OK
Somrtimes makes noises as if it is trying to turn.
Have drained the machine manually and unloaded drum, drum rotates freely.
Unplugged at mains and replugged in no resposes apart from clanking coming from lower part of machine.
Any suggestions please?

The fact that it stopped full of water would at one time have indicated a blocked pump filter or some other problem preventing draining of the water but on a modern machine, especially one as sophisticated as a Miele this should now trigger an error code. The vast majority of faults that can occur should now trigger an error code. If no error code is showing and it's just gone dim then maybe there's a problem with the main pcb board or power supply but I can only suggest getting in an engineer as it doesn't sound like a straight forward easy fix problem. That doesn't mean it's necessarily a very serious problem, it's just there's no easy diy checks I can suggest.

Have you defintely checked the power, and I mean plugged something else into the same socket to check that the socket actaully is not faulty. I have come across this quite often, especially after the machine has been heating for a while. Any signs of burning on the plug or socket? Do this first and then when you know that's ok, get the machine checked, it does sound an 'odd'fault.
