Hi Can anybody help me please? I have recently installed a new pump as my old one died and it seemed well, until I came home today and had an error message H2O which is no water error. I found that the drain pump was always running for some reason and I cant turn it off even when I turn the power button off it says on!!!! I have to switch the machine off by the plug to turn it off.

Can anybody help me with this please?

Did it do successful washes for a while after fitting? It may have a short to earth on it somewhere. You would need an insulation test meter to check that. Some washing machines have constant power to them and they are switched on buy allowing a neutral return via the control board. If the pump has somehow found a neutral return it ill run constantly. Other than that it could be a pcb or controller issue.

Yes it would be unwise to buy a new board as a component on the washing machine could have blown it. You need an engineer to look at it who can test it with an insulation test meter. It may be switched on the neutral system with a permanent live feed and it sounds like the pump is somehow getting a permanent neutral return, maybe even through earth.

Yes it did, but now the machine has totally died! the power board has blown so i dont know what to do now! I could buy a new one for £100 n fit it but could have the same result and that one blows
