Whirlpool Washer Dryer 1000 - Water Remaining Below Rubber

Quite a substantial amount of water is remaining below the rubber as shown in photo.

I tried to check if the three holes were blocked - they are not. Filter cleaned. All seems fine.

Any suggestions?

It looks like it may just be a badly designed seal unless it's not been fitted properly. There are often a few small drain holes in the bottom of a door seal which should be right at the bottom in the centre. Is this something that's just started to happen when it never did before?
