Hi

My blomberg lrf285411w is turning ON but the door lock is not happening after physically closing the door. (Door lock icon not appearing in the display unit)

I have replaced a door-look module with the same part number, but the issue remains as same.

I ve opened the main board but no sign of burn marks or destroyed components is visible.

How can I fix this issue? is it an issue of an electronic component in the main board?

pls help because I am stuck

Hi. I get this a lot. Door lock appears faulty but replacing the door lock doesn't fix it. I can only assume it's an electrical/wiring problem, or maybe a fault on the PCB. The difficulty with the PCB, is that there is no way to test one. So if there isn't anything obvious, then it's a total leap of faith to replace one - and a big financial gamble.

The PCB has many components, any one of which could be faulty with no visible sign. An electronics expert would know how to test individual diodes, resistors, capacitors, but appliance engineers do not have any knowledge, or test equipment for them. We are only taught to replace the whole thing. This is totally wasteful, but it's always been the case and has never changed.

So even an experienced white goods appliance engineer never knows for certain if the PCB is faulty. They just eliminate other faults and then fit one and hope if fixes the fault.

Thanks for all the comments. I feel there might be an issue with the Main PCB because I have checked the 3 wires coming from the door lock latch and changed the module, too.

Does anyone know anything about the main PCB cct diagram?

If I have it I can check every component slowly.

Please anyone know how to get that ?

Alternatively, there's a possibility that something has broken or worn on the door latch so that when the door is being closed it is not activating the door lock. If the door latch still has the spring tensioning it and looks OK and the door seems to latch normally, it may not be the issue.
