Indesit Moon Sticky Buttons
Hello
sorry if this is a question asked many times - I have an Indesit Moon whose only problem are sticky buttons, in particular the one indicates with "A" in the image.
Now, this recirs even if I am careful not to drop liquids etc - so I was wondering if it was possible to easilytake out the push bottens, give the inside housing a godd cleaning, and then put it back.
Can I just wedge them out, or doing so will break a plastic part etc?
Thanks

Hi, I would be cautious about trying to take them out, they obviously will come out, but I don't have exact instructions and if you can't work it out by looking they are probably very flimsy and likely to break, especially if they have little fixing tabs. Have you tried cleaning them with WD-40 which is also a light lubricant? Try spraying into the back of them, you won;t do any damage with WD-40

Thanks Guys
all sorted p WD40 worked atreat (without toothbrush - there was nowhere to fit). Just wiped the excess which dropped a bit from the interstice.
But it now works well

It would be ideal to get them all off and clean them thoroughly. You could try disconnecting the machine and taking the lid off to see if you can see how to dismantle it. The whole unit probably comes out. However, a damn good spray with wd40 pointing the nozzle in the gaps might just do it without risking busting one of them.

Thanks for the quick reply. Not tried that yet - WD40 fixes so many things and it may just work. I thought that with an open recess the cleaning would be easier/better.
