Hi All

Have had a look through Several topics to try and diagnose my fault but none seem too match

Just wondered if anyone else had any ideas.

I have a Washer / Dryer combi Indesit IWDE12

It had done a cycle and when I came to take the washing out it was soaking wet, so put back in and tried to do a dry cycle but nothing would start.

Rang tech guys they said filter pump has gone so ordered new part and replaced.

Now when I turn machine on it lights up as normal

But if I try and start a wash cycle you can hear the door lock kick in but then nothing else happens?

If I try going onto a dry cycle to test that it just reset's and I have too power off or hold reset button in.

The door lock mech was replaced about a year ago.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as I'm a bit baffled as too what too look at next.

Many thanks

On many Indesit washing machines an open circuit motor can cause everything to go dead. All the lights work and door locks but nothing happens. That's one possibility.

An open circuit motor is most commonly caused by worn carbon brushes. There's nothing to check on the main PCB board.

Thank you for the replies I will open it back up and see if can find this pipe and clear it also will check wiring, when you say open circuit is there an easy way to identify this on the main board?

Many thanks

It seems a bit strange that fitting a new filter pump made matters worse? are you sure you didn't disturb any wiring?

You could also try taking the clear plastic tube off the pressure switch, which runs up the side of the drum somewhere. Blow down the tube as hard

as you can into the drum to remove any debris and try again.
