Washing machine sometimes leaves small puddle of water on floor

I have a Hotpoint WMFUG 842 about 1 year old. Most of the time it is absolutely fine but on the odd occasion there is a small puddle of water on the floor which occurs towards the end of the cycle. It tends to happen on the clean out program also but again, not every time. I think the water is clean, it looks it and there is no smell and it seems to be coming out from the front of the machine. I just assumed it was the door seal but not sure as the seal seems fine. Does anyone know what may be causing this as it is baffling me as to why it only ever occasionally happens.

Thanks

Carefully examine all round the inside of the door seal in case there's a small hole somewhere highish up. Other than that it might be difficult to track the cause o f the leak with it being so small and intermittent. Check out my article here for 5 tips on how to find a washing machine leak.

I had the same problem. it's the water dispenser rubber hose just under the soap dispenser, it's rubbing to the metal edge during washing cycles it will eventually cut through the rubber hose and cause water leaks when water is going through the dispenser. Replace the rubber hose and flaten part of the matel edge that may touch the rubber hose with a pillar.
