Help - I've lost the emergency drain hose!
I have a Samsung Eco Bubble washing machine which needed a debris filter clean. I pulled out the drain hose to empty the machine but when trying to push back the drain cap the tube shot back into the hole and I can't retrieve it. Any ideas on how I can pull it back out again or is this something that needs a "special tool" repair. Thanks.

This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.
Emergency drain hose retracted inside Samsung Eco Bubble access panel
- The problem
- The emergency drain hose and cap for the debris filter were accidentally pushed back inside the lower front access opening of a Samsung Eco Bubble washing machine, leaving the user unable to pull the hose back out.
- Likely cause
- The hose slipped back behind the lower access/kick strip while the cap was being pushed back on. No component failure was described.
- What fixed it
- The accepted advice was to remove the plastic kick strip/lower trim carefully, as it normally levers off from the top or may be held by screws, to gain better access and retrieve the hose. The discussion does not confirm whether the hose was successfully recovered afterwards.
- Checks to try
- Verified that the emergency drain hose had shot back into the hole and could not be retrieved from the normal access opening
- Accepted advice to inspect behind the plastic kick strip/lower trim for better access

Try taking off the plastic kick strip, it normally just levers off (carefully) from the top or may have some screws. You should be able to get better access then.
