HJA8501 Washing Machine - Fills with water on every mode (Including when on a spin / drain cycle)

When powered and when any program is active (any washing selection but also the "Spin and drain" mode which shouldn't have a filling mode at all) the drum just takes on water. If I try and end the program early (which initiates a drain) it will actually drain the drum while still filling... but the drain outpaces the filling. The water pressure hose is clear, I've blown through it. The sensor could be the issue but I would have thought that would only cause problems during actual 'fill' cycles and not just at all times.

I know it's not much to go on but wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to take a look at next? I will try a new water pressure sensor if you think that's worth a go, but I wonder if this is more likely to be control board related.

It doesn't fill with water when the machine is off or when not on a wash program. It's only once a wash program is activated that it starts pulling water into the drum.

The machine was working absolutely fine until yesterday when it just started doing this during a wash.

Hi. I don't think it can be related to the pressure switch. The pressure switch is not capable of energizing the water valves, other than on a fill section. The water valves must be getting power and a neutral return. Sometimes a washing machine could be wired up so that the valves have constant power, and they are switched on and off via the neutral. I've heard of some earth faults causing strange behaviour like this. It's not really one for DIY I'd say. I certainly wouldn't risk replacing the expensive pcb in just the hope it will fix it. Is it all the valves letting water in or just one?
