Worn hole in Bosch washing machine sump hose
My Bosch Classixx washing machine (WAE24164GB) developed a leak.
On inspection I found that the sump hose had a small hole in it so I replaced it.
After a trial wash it was fine but then started leaking again after that. Similar hole had been worn in the new sump hose in the same place.
So I can only assume that it's rubbing on something but the hose seems in decent clearance - the nearest thing is a tie wrap on the drum?!?!?
Anyone else experienced this type of problem. I don't want to replace the sump hose again until I get to the bottom of things properly.
Any help gratefully accepted :-)

Hello Gareth. Can you tell if the hole has been caused from inside (eg. something like a nail or other object getting inside) or externally by rubbing against something? If it's definitely rubbed against something it shouldn't be hard to find out what. The main thing to consider is that the clearance you can see is not the clearance it has when full of water and a heavy load of washing.
Try getting someone to push down on the drum to simulate the weight and see if you can see what it might be catching on. Alternatively pull the machine out and fill it with a heavy load. Then put it on a rinse, stop it, disconnect from mains, and take back panel off if it has one. You should be able to see if it's rubbing against anything.
If your washing machine doesn't have a back panel you won't be able to do any of that. But check to see if the suspension is twisted. The drum should be held centrally in the casing. Cut the cable tie back if it might be the culprit.
