You need an engineer to trace the cause of a washing machine tripping the electrics
Sadly it seems the days of repairing washing machines are almost at an end after a long slow decline over the last 25 years. The only hope you would have is finding a local engineer but there aren't too many left. Most of the online repair companies are run by big money people who pass the work onto 3rd party engineers and take a big cut. Most of the big repair people and even manufacturers operate insurance based repairs where the minimum repair charge is over £100 and sometimes a lot over £100. They offer to guarantee the whole machine for a year but basically they are just charging you to take an insurance out on top of the repair. The fixed repair companies can only operate by charging everyone a lot of money even for a minor repair. Again, most will quote over £100 and that's even if it turns out to be a 5 minute job. It's a great shame but it's been driven by declining prices of new appliances and increasing prices of labour and spare parts.
