I read many complaints about the holes in t-shirts. I have a brand new washer/dryer Whirlpool Cabrio. All of a sudden I am getting holes in my T-Shirts.

I am a senior and have been washing for MANY years. I have NEVER had this happen. I felt inside my washer and dryer for sharp spots or something to cause this but to no prevail. I can't afford for $30. shirts to be destroyed.

It's a difficult issue to resolve, with many possible causes. Holes in clothes after washing

Yes bleach is one of the possible causes. If so you would expect it to be on the front of T-shirts or clothing worn by a person who has been using bleach, and not on random laundry.

Dorothy - you could try not overloading the drum (if you are overloading drum) - selecting a 'delicates wash' rather than a cottons wash, a lower spin speed (800/1000rpm spin speed) - are the only things I can think of at the moment if you are really sure there are no sharp edges in the drum at all

Dorothy, I would guess that it has more to do with what detergent you are using if the machine has no sharp edges that could cause the damage. Check the rubber door seals because if they are broken, your clothes may be getting caught on the edge of the door. More than that I cannot think what it could be, sorry.
