I have just moved into a house with a Hotpoint Aquarius WD 420. We have run a wash on, but can’t get the dryer going. Any suggestions?

Hello Bill. Did everything work OK before the move? Or was the dryer in the house you moved in to? When you say you can't get the dryer going what exactly happens when you set it to tumble dry? I am presuming the washing cycle works OK?
