Intermittent filling

Hello. I'm wondering if anyone can help please.

I have an LG direct drive (Inverter) machine, approx two years old.

When filling the machine, the fill stops and starts half a dozen times before continuously filling to the correct fill amount. My question is, why does the fill stop and start? It fills for a second or two then stops, then the same again and so on until filling as normal.

It has done this since new.

I don't think this is normal but any help appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

Hello Mike. If it's done it since the beginning and hasn't changed in 2 years then it seems unlikely to be a fault. It is normal for a washing machine to fill up with water for several seconds whilst energising the water pump to sort of just flush things through a bit before starting properly. Normally if it keeps stopping might indicate a poor connection on the water valve but you would have expected by now that it would have packed in properly was that.
