Hoover washing machine only fills with water on rapid 14/30/44 setting
My hoover washing machine came up with (E02), so googled and it said either filter was blocked or the water inlet valve was faulty, checked filter which was ok so replaced inlet valve but will still only will fill with water on a rapid wash or rinse setting. Tried resetting the machine, checked soap tray still nothing, it's a Hoover H-wash 300 lite 10kg 1400 spin model no H3W410TE/1-80. Don't really want to pay for an engineer to come out as its only just over a year old if its a simple fix , any ideas or advice would be really appreciated thanks. Graz
Solution Summary
AI-generated from this discussion
This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.
Hoover H3W410TE/1-80 only fills on rapid or rinse programmes, E02 shown
- The problem
- Hoover H-wash 300 lite H3W410TE/1-80 displayed E02. The filter was checked and reported clear, and the inlet valve was replaced, but the machine still only filled with water on rapid 14/30/44 or rinse settings and not on other wash programmes.
- Likely cause
- Most strongly supported diagnosis is that one of the separate fill valves is not operating, likely the valve used to flush detergent into the drum during normal wash programmes. The exact failed component was not confirmed.
- What fixed it
- Accepted advice was to check whether one of the fill valves was not working, particularly the valve associated with flushing detergent from the dispenser. No completed repair or confirmed fix was posted.
- Checks to try
- E02 fault code noted
- Filter checked and found OK
- Water inlet valve replaced
- Reset attempted
- Soap tray/dispenser checked
- Parts or tools mentioned
- Water inlet valve
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

Could be one of the fill valves isn’t working. Maybe the one that flushed the detergent into the drum?

Thank you Andy I will check that .
Normally, a washing machine will take in water from one valve for several seconds to run water into the sump hose, followed by a second valve to finish the fill and flush the detergent in.
