Hi there

This started leaking a few days ago. Cleared filter, check seal etc- no dice. I took the back off and ran a cycle and the source (or at least the appearance) of the drips is clear- highlighted on the photo. However I have no idea what this part is! Looks like something is dripping down onto the solid weight below the front of the drum and the drip is coming from that weight. Doesn't appear to be the tray although that is quite hard to see during the cycle. Anyway if anyone has ideas from my photo, let me know. On the quick cycle it only dripped at one point:

Fill- Nothing

Wash- Nothing

Rinse- During what sounded like it filling with water at the start of the rinse, it dripped like crazy. Then for the rest of rinse, no drips.

Spin- Nothing

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Hi there. Yes it's often very hard to find the source of the leak and the bit where the water drops off is not necessarily the where it is coming from. Make sure it's disconnected from the mains. If it is leaking when it fills up on the rinses check the soap dispenser isn't blocked by removing the drawer. Check the hose at the bottom of the soap dispenser for leaks either from a hole or from where it attaches to either the dispenser or the drum. Squeeze the hose to make sure there isn't any undissolved tablet or detergent blocking it.

Other than that it's impossible for anyone else to see where the leak is coming from it has to be tracked by someone present. I have a general article here with more advice and tips - washing machine leaks from underneath

Thanks for your reply, it's so kind of you to maintain this forum alongside your day job. Bit of a catch 22 that obviously I won't put my hand in when connected and by the time it's unplugged with 5 mins safety I'm unsure if the dry tray hose is because it's another source or just because it's dried off. Just a shame it's dripping from the least visible part of the machine with the back and top off! Ho hum

Cheers
