Washing Machine Drawer filling with water

Hi - I have a Miele W1 Twin Dos. I use it the "normal" way with fabric softener and washing powder. Recently I've noticed that the washer drawer fills with water so every time I want to add Lenor I have to remove the drawer completely and empty it in the sink. I've cleaned the drawer thoroughly and can't see any blockages anywhere. Any ideas?

Hi. I've only ever know this caused by a blockage in the siphon tube. Full details on how it should work in this article fabric softener compartment is always full of water

The only other theoretical cause would be if the water valve that flushes water into the softener compartment had a very slow drip and didn't shut off properly. It could then slowly fill the compartment with water but once water got up to the top of the siphoning tube it should all drain away.

Best way to check it to look at the compartment at the end of the wash cycle. If it is full of water it's caused by the problem described in my article.

It turned out to be a small blockage in the siphon, thank you for your help.
