Bosch Serie 4 drum rotation
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can provide some thoughts/suggestions on an issue we're having.
We bought a second hand Bosch Serie 4 washing machine. Recently we've noticed that the drum has a tight spot when rotating it by hand. This tight spot appears to change position each time we rotate the drum (I.e. 1st rotate, the drum will spin freely until it hits the tight spot at 3 o'clock position, rotate again and the tight spot is now at 1 o'clock, rotate again and it's at 7 o'clock).
When the drum hits the tight spot it doesn't feel/sound like it's grinding, and it doesn't suddenly stop. It is silent and slows the drum rotation quickly at that specific point. It feels like like there's a bit of rubber catching and slowing the rotation.
I haven't removed the back/top of the machine yet to take a look.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this and the potential solution?
Thank you

Hi, It should be easy enough to check if the lip of the drum is catching on the door seal. Just carefully examine and feel. Maybe the lip of the drum isn't a perfect circle and has a pronounced bit.
Another possibility is something like a sock stuck underneath the drum.
Also, to be sure it's an issue with the drum, and not the motor, you would need to take the belt off and turn the drum separately.
