Bosch Rcd Trip

Our Bosche WFF2000 tripped our main RCD at the end of a wash (door lock had released) and now is permanently leaking live to earth. I have tried disconnecting the motor with no change so am guessing the issue is eleswhere.
Whilst I'm normally happy to have a go at most things, this seems a little complex without the necessary equipment or going round unplugging everything using trial and error.
Is anyone aware of anything obvious (and relatively simple with just a multi-meter) to check?
My feeling is that is is getting on a bit and needs replacing.

As you say, to troubleshoot a pcb tripping fault you need a proper insulation test meter capable of putting 500 volts (DC) through the machine. The most common causes of a washing machine fusing or tripping the electrics are mentioned here - Washing machine is fusing, or tripping the electrics
