Bosch Classixx 1200 Water Goes In But Not Into The Drum

Hi

My Bosch washing machine is not working. I replaced the brushes this morning and as the old ones were significantly worn down, I hoped I'd solved the problem. No such luck. When the machine is switched on it makes a few electrical 'clicks' and water can be heard apparently entering - but none seems to enter the drum.

Many more 'clicks' and 'whirrs' later, some water does in fact sluice the detergent dispenser but at no time does the drum rotate to wash or spin. Around 30 minutes after START the END light comes on and the clothes are as dry as they went in. When the pump cap is opened about half a litre of water pours out. I can freely turn the pump impeller and there's no fluff or other residue. After I replaced the brushes I refitted the drive belt (so that's not broken)and I checked the filters on the inlet hose (both clean). Any ideas? and thanks in advance.

If the washing machine is filling with water but water isn't going into the machine it must be going somewhere. Make sure you haven't caused siphoning by pushing the drain hose too far down the waste water pipe if it's installed to one. - Washing Machine Constantly Fills With Water And Goes Down The Drain
