Bosch 1400 Express - No Water!
Just moved a working Bosch 1400 Express washing machine from one house to another. It was working fine.
Now the machine isn't filling with water.
I checked the water connection - and water comes out of the hose when I remove it from back of machine - but when I reconnect it to the machine and switch it on - no water enters the machine.
I can switch the programme to drain - and the door can be opened. I've removed the filter cover - the impellor moves.

If the washer worked ok before moving, the main suspect is something related to the move. The first suspect is usually the plumbing at the new location, if water is coming through the hose make sure it's running through at a good pressure. After that I would suspect a kinked fill hose, make sure the hose isn't getting kinked.
When the machine is on a fill position, can you hear a gentle humming noise, which could indicate the water valve is being energised? If so, the chances are it's not getting an adequate water supply. If it makes no sound the valve may not even be operating. If so, unless it is a wire come off during transit you would need the fault tracing using a continuity test meter.

I have had this happen to a friends machine and I'm not certain how it happened. There was still water in the sump from the move and a fair amount of muck (old soap etc) at the bottom. It had worked its was into the pressure hose and blocked it, but the switch was activated making the machine believe it was always full of water. I removed the black rubber hose from the pressure switch behind the front panel and tied it against the casing (above the drum height). Switched on the machine and water came in. I blew as hard as I could down the hose and after a few puffs, I could hear bubbles. Reconnected the hose and it was fine again.
