Servis M306 Constantly Filling
i have this old stylee machine plumbed into cold only, it just sits there filling for ever, the mechanical dial does not rotate through it's stages, and if i help it along the out going water is still cold, can you tell me a plan of attack to test out whats going on here, where do i start ?
i am an engineer, but i'm a washing machine virgin.
where can i download a service manual ?

Servis went bust (again) and their site went down with it. A new company has recently taken over but their web site doesn't appear to contain any downloadable instruction manuals. I've contacted them asking if they have any plans to make them available - especially as they are making heavy play on the "Servis heritage".
You say it's filling forever but not if it's overfilling (and therefore flooding). to follow up on this, i am a plonker, i didn't have the pump out hose vertical, something i learn't from the Haynes washing machine manual. works fine now.
