Indesit Drum Not Turning - Module Or Motor?
Hi there,
I have an Indesit washing machine which uses a three phase induction motor (so no brushes).
Out of the blue the machine has suddenly stopped working - It starts the washing cycle (fills) and then sits doing nothing for a long time until it decides something is wrong and starts flashing every light it has. So it fills and empties fine, but the drum doesn't twitch.
I have removed the motor and checked to see if there is anything obviously wrong and there isn't (I was hoping it would have replaceable brushes but being induction it obviously doesn't). I have also taken out the speed control module and examined the board for any burnt areas but I can't see anything.
So is there any way to diagnose which part is wrong, I have a friend with a multimeter however I'm not sure where and what I should be testing for.
Any help much, much appreciated.

Washing machines indicate error codes with flashing lights or by lighting up specific option buttons but if all lights are flashing that's not an error code which leaves it difficult to diagnose. It could be a problem with one of the boards but I wouldn't bother trying to test anything with a multimeter. I'd get an engineer in to be honest unless any of these article help -
Drum not turning
Lights flashing
Appliance error codes
