Hello there,

A few months ago my bosch classix 1200 wouldnt spin up to full speed.I replaced the carbon brushes

which were worn down to about 1/8inch length. All was well until last week whe it started spinning

slowly again.I removed the motor and saw that the commutator was scored.I tried to clean it and I

rubbed it with fine sandpaper but it is still a bit scored.

What would yo recommend doing next?Should I replace the motor or just the armature itself.

Is it possible to remove the scoring and then put more new brushes?

Thanks

If it's related to the carbon brushes then one of both of the new brushes should be burned and charred as described in this article carbon brushes diagnostics if they are nice and shiny then they are making good contact.
