Indesit Module Fault?
I have an Indesit WG12 that as of yesterday won't turn the motor. I have checked the carbon brushes and they seem to have plenty of life left in them. Could it be the control module?

The motor sounds OK. Take the speed control module off and carefully inspect it. Indesit are not very good with modules as they seem to fail a lot. Some of them have a small fuse that can go (never by-pass such a fuse) Sometimes the printed circuit is burned away where the connector strip fits to the bottom and sometimes there is a resistor (earlier Indesits) that comes unsoldered, or has a dry joint.
If you can't see anything wrong, you can't actually test the module. All you could do is fit a new one. If it didn't work though, you have to bear the cost as you can't send them back. There's no guarantee it is the module if you can't see anything physically wrong, but neither can you assume it is OK if there is no physical signs of failure.
