Siemens Front Load Washing Machine Ot Starting

My Siemens washing which I had bought less than a year before is giving starting trouble. no error is displayed on the LEd display. After laoding the laundry and detergent etc. I close the door as usual and press start button. Nothing happens except a beep sound is produced and the start button continues blinking. No error is shown either. The engineer is telling it can be a problem with the door lock but I am not convinced with this reason. Though the machine is in warranty and the lock, if damaged, will be replaced free of cost, but I am uncomfortable in doing so. has anyone ever experienced such problem? Similar problem had occured in the past and then machine had started automatically next day. but this time it wont even after 2/3 days.

Siemens washer beeps and Start light flashes without beginning a cycle

The problem
A Siemens front load washing machine, less than a year old, would not start a wash. After loading and closing the door, pressing Start only produced a beep and the Start button kept blinking. No fault code or other error was displayed. The same symptom had happened before and once cleared by itself the next day, but on this occasion it persisted for 2 to 3 days.
Likely cause
The accepted reply said the symptoms strongly suggest the machine is behaving as if the door is open. A faulty door interlock, or the door not reliably operating the interlock, was the most strongly supported diagnosis.
What fixed it
Recommended check was to try starting a wash with the door deliberately left open and see whether it behaves exactly the same. If it does, that supports a door interlock or door-activation issue. As the machine was under warranty, repair or replacement of the door lock/interlock by the manufacturer or service engineer was the implied next step, but the exact repair was not confirmed in the discussion.
Checks to try
  • Observed that pressing Start caused only a beep and a blinking Start button with no error displayed
  • Compare the symptom with attempting to start a wash while the door is left open
Parts or tools mentioned
  • Door lock
  • Door interlock

Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

Try leaving the door open and starting a wash. Does it do the exact same thing? If so it would strongly imply that this is what the machine does if yu try to start a wash cycle with the door open. If the door interlock is faulty, or the door doesn't always activate it properly then the machine thinks the door is still open even if it isn't.
