Hi,

I have a 6 month old Siemens IQ700 washing machine that gave up today, issue is its not draining the water in the end and giving E:36 with -25.

I did drain the water out, cleaned the filter and also the rear exit water filter and still same error.

Any idea?

This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.

Siemens IQ700 not draining, showing E:36 -25

The problem
A 6-month-old Siemens IQ700 washing machine stopped at the end of the cycle with water left inside and displayed E:36 with -25. The owner drained the machine, cleaned the main filter and the rear outlet filter, but the fault remained.
Likely cause
Most strongly supported diagnosis is a drain fault. The accepted reply says the next step is to determine whether the drain pump is running: if not, one set of pump-related faults is possible; if it is running, a blockage elsewhere in the drain path is likely. The exact cause was not confirmed.
What fixed it
No confirmed repair was documented. The accepted advice was to establish whether the drain pump runs during the drain phase to separate a non-running pump fault from a blockage-related drain fault. As the exact fault and repair were not confirmed in the discussion, further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.
Checks to try
  • Water manually drained from the machine
  • Main filter cleaned
  • Rear outlet/water filter cleaned
  • Fault persisted after cleaning filters

Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

Hi. You need to work out if the pump is running or not. If it isn’t that’s one set of possible faults, but if it is then there’s likely to be a blockage somewhere. This article explains in more detail washing machine not draining water
