ISE is no longer trading.

This is was a new concept in supplying washing machines by an independent washing machine repairers group called UK Whitegoods. ISE stands for, Independent Service Engineering, and is, "a washing machine promoted by experts". This laudable concept promises a much needed antidote for the frustrations associated with buying and maintaining many modern washing machines which are not lasting anywhere near as long as they should - with hidden financial and environmental consequences..

ISE washing machine general feedback and wash performance query

The problem
This thread is not a fault report. It discusses general feedback on an ISE washing machine and asks how well it washes on normal cycles.

Checks to try
  • Owner feedback after a couple of months of use: working well
  • Installation reported as excellent
  • Stated independent AAA rating: Energy class A, Wash class A, Spin class A

Thanks for that Pete. If you do have any problems please let us know. If required, you will probably be able to get more help for an ISE, than for any other washing machine in the UK. The guys behind the project are determined that this is going to be a washer that's reasonably priced to get fixed in the future, and one of the reasons they picked it is because it is so easy to work on too.

I have had an ISE washing machine for a couple of months now and it's working well.

It‘s great!

Installation was excellent, couldn’t ask for more.

I wish there was more to say, it’s just doing the job it's supposed to.

I'm currently looking for a new washing machine and like the idea of the ISE. The details on the review are excellent but one of the main problems we had with the existing machine was that it just didn't seem to was very well at all. It just didn't get the clothes clean.

Since I don't know who manufactures the ISE I can't get an idea on how well it will clean. Does anyone have any comments about how well it actually cleans on normal washes?

Any info would be very useful.

Thanks, Doug.

Welcome Doug. The ISE washing machine is independantly rated AAA. Energy class: A, Wash class: A, and Spin class: A so it should wash perfectly well. It would be nice to hear about people's actual experiences though. I have reservations about the energy label tests ( ECO energy labels and washing machines ) because they only test the washing machine's 60 degree wash, which isn't the most common wash program used in the UK (40 degrees is). However, all washing machines are tested the same so it rates amongst the best in these tests.
