Should rinse water be cold?

New here so please excuse if this should be in the 'repair section'.

We have a ZWF 16581 W Jetstream. Yesterday it stopped on the 1 minute after a 'proportional load' run... ie also with no beep... (Twice) the only way to get the door open was to operate a 'drain cycle'.

Today we put it on a Cotton Normal and having completed the cycle the door beeped and opened....

My partner said the washing felt cold....

Two questions...

1. what temperature water is used in the rinse cycle? ie is it cold?

2. Is it possible that the heater is at fault which causes the door to not open at the end of the 'proportional load cycle?

Anyone experienced either of the above?

Thanks

The washing should come out cold - Should the laundry come out of washing machine warm or cold?

A washing machine sticking on the last minute can be caused by various things including an open circuit heating element and poor or broken connections on the heater's sensor stat. However, the laundry cannot come out warm because the heater is working and cold if it is not. The washing machine rinses 3 or 4 times in cold water.
