Bosch Wff 1201 Slow To Fill Up
Hi,
Been looking online for answers why my Bosch WFF 1201 fills up slowly. At start briefly it fills with good pressure to one powder container and stops. Then it starts to fill to the other powder container with good pressure at first but after a few moments pressure drops and it carries on filling with low pressure. It takes long and doesn't wash down all of the powder. The cold/hot inlet valve filters are clean. The initial good pressure seems to indicate that it is capable of filling with good pressure but for some reason it doesn't. Any ideas? This machine came with my newly purchased flat so I don't know any of it's history. But I want to use it for a while and spend money on more important things first.
Cheers
Solution Summary
AI-generated from this discussion
This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.
Bosch WFF 1201 slow fill likely due to water supply issue or inlet valve
- The problem
- Bosch WFF 1201 washing machine fills normally for a moment into each detergent compartment, then the flow rate drops and the machine continues filling slowly, sometimes not flushing all detergent away. The inlet valve filters were reported clean.
- Likely cause
- The strongest diagnosis in the discussion was inadequate water supply flow or pressure, despite an initial brief strong fill. A secondary suggestion was a faulty inlet valve if the supply proves normal. The exact cause was not confirmed.
- What fixed it
- Recommended first check was to remove the fill hoses and run them into a bucket for at least 30 seconds to confirm the water supply pressure/flow remains strong. If the water supply is fine, the inlet valve was suggested as the likely faulty part. No repair was actually carried out or confirmed in the thread.
- Checks to try
- Cold/hot inlet valve filters checked and found clean
- Suggested check of water supply by running inlet hoses into a bucket for at least 30 seconds
- Parts or tools mentioned
- Inlet valve
- Bucket
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

An unusual fault. Have you taken the hoses off and run them into a bucket for at least 30 seconds to check the water supply pressure? If there was a problem with one of the supplies it might be possible for water to fill up the pipework and be sent into the machine but then struggle to get enough water to replace continue filling.

if the water pressure is fine, then it must be the inlet valve which is not expensive to replace.
Thx for the replies guys, I've been too busy to actually look into it. Will come back to it when I have more free time. For now it will just have to do as it is.
