Waterproof System. in the Miele W19 wps Washing Machine
Can this be safely removed and replaced with a regular hose? Miele are very reluctant to countenance this but will not provide me with technical information without a call out. Will its removal (and replacement as indicated) actually affect the working of the machine or just remove the flooding protection ?
The flooding issue is a none issue for me but I suspect the box is clogged and slowing the inflow rate and so need to test the machine with water directly from the mains

Hello geordief. I have an article about flood-proof hoses under Aqua stop hoses which is a more common name for them. Basically if the hose has wires that go into the washing machine it's integral to the machine and can't be replaced. If it unscrews from the tap and the washing machine independently then a normal hose would work. Read all about them here Aqua stop hoses for washing machines & dishwashers
