Washing powder tray not fully emptying
Hi,
Basically the Washing Powder tray is not fully emptying.
Ive tried different amounts of powder etc but no difference.
I have noticed that there seems to be a little pool of water left over aswell.
I have looked through the manual and have tried the following:
cleaned the tray a few times
used the "Cleaning the washing machine" cycle
cleaned the pump
but still no change.
Any help much appreciated.

Detergent drawer on WMFUG 942P not flushing fully
- The problem
- On a WMFUG 942P washing machine, the detergent drawer was not fully emptying and a small pool of water was left in the tray. The user had already cleaned the drawer several times, run the machine cleaning cycle and cleaned the pump, with no improvement.
- Likely cause
- The accepted reply says the drawer is not being flushed properly because insufficient water is entering the detergent drawer section. Suggested causes were low water pressure, a kinked fill hose, or a fault with the machine’s water supply system or water valve. This was a diagnosis rather than a confirmed repaired fault.
- What fixed it
- Recommended action was to check water flow into the detergent compartment by removing the drawer and observing how much water enters during a wash cycle. The thread points towards troubleshooting as a water-entry problem. The exact repair was not confirmed.
- Checks to try
- Cleaned the detergent drawer several times
- Ran the 'Cleaning the washing machine' cycle
- Cleaned the pump
- Observed whether enough water pours into the detergent drawer section during a wash cycle
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

I'm presuming you mean it's not flushing the detergent down into the machine properly. If so it must be a problem with the water supply. If there was a blockage somewhere then water would spill out of the drawer. It could be just not a high enough water pressure, or a kinked fill hose, or a fault on the machine or water valve. Pull the soap drawer out and put the machine on a wash cycle then observe the drawer section where you put detergent and see how much water is pouring into it. There can't be enough or there wouldn't be a problem. It would need troubleshooting as a no water going into machine fault
