Hi,

I have an electrolux ewt1067, and in the middle of a cycle it stated to display EF0 where is usually shows the time remaining. It didn't stop the cycle though, and seems to be going on regullarly and that error code isn't in the manuall. Any idea what it could be?

Solution Summary

AI-generated from this discussion

This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.

Electrolux EWT1067 showing EF0 during cycle

The problem
An Electrolux EWT1067 displayed fault code EF0 mid-cycle where the time remaining is normally shown. The wash cycle did not stop and appeared to continue normally.
Likely cause
The discussion suggests EF0 is most likely related to a blocked filter, based on equivalent Zanussi fault code information. Another engineer reply says EF0 can also indicate a leak, an unbalanced load, or possibly a software update issue. As the machine did not stop and drain continuously, a leak was not confirmed.
What fixed it
The accepted advice was to check and clear the washing machine pump filter. No confirmed repair feedback was posted, so the exact fix was not confirmed.
Checks to try
  • Fault appeared during the middle of a cycle
  • Machine continued the cycle despite the EF0 display
  • Forum advice linked EF0 with a blocked filter on related Zanussi models
  • Engineer reply noted EF0 can also mean leak detection, unbalanced load, or software update requirement

Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

I don't have specific Electrolux error codes but Electrolux make Zanussi washing machines. The error EF0 on many Zanussi washing machines means "blocked filter" so there's a very good chance that's what it means on your Electrolux washing machine too. Hey does this fault by any chance happen with a heavy load. EFO can mean two things a leak but if it was a leak then the machine will detect the leak and stop and start draining and the second thing is its detecting an unbalanced load. Last thing which has been a recent thing that it May need software update. I am a current Electrolux eng. Hope that helps
