I have a W4144 which is 11 years old and at the end of the wash cycle on spin the machine begins to 'knock' loudly, get out of balance and fault F50 is displayed, yet on a cycle with an empty drum no fault occurs so it appears to be a drum balance issue ?
The drum springs and shock absorbers all appear ok, sensor issue or motor ?

And knocking noise is commonly caused by a loose drum weight. I would think it quite unusual for a Miele drum weight to come loose but nothing is impossible.
