Miele Novotronic W310 sagging drum - how to fix?

have a miele novotronic w310 front loader from the 2004 era. Been a great machine and hasn't done a lot of work (~250 cycles).

Slight leak from front door seal.

Noticed that there was a crinkle in the bottom of the front door/ drum seal. Not sure what this was from so took off the seal, expecting to have to replace it. After its removal I could see why the seal was distorted. The drum/ outer hub opening was not centred in the door opening but had sagged and thus causing the crinkle in the seal. With the seal out it resumed a more normal shape and was in fair order except for a minor defect in the edge that rubs against the door clear window. There is some scoring on the upper part of the clear window where the drum has hit the door. The drum bearing seems ok.

Can anyone please advise how extensive the job of repairing the ageing suspension system is likely to be . Are there four suspensions springs that will need replacing or are there adjustable brackets that can be moved to elevate the front of the drum? Can't find specific info about this models suspension system.

I can't see this particular problem mentioned for these units, is it likely to be a common problem as the machine ages?

Replacing suspension is usually straight forward enough. They are usually bolted to the tub and the chassis. It's a question of seeing if you can get access to the bottom of the machine which is easy or difficult depending on the machine. Machine would commonly be disconnected and laid on its front.

If the drum is being held centrally in the casing (observe with lid off) and machine seems to work well on spin they might well be OK.

removed front panel

1. lower kick board unclips

2. below front panel screw each side removed - outer ones

3 remove 10mm bolt below door opening

4 remove front door seal by prying off spring wire

5 drop down front panel and remove latch by unscrewing it off front panel and note position of emergency release cord.

Found that front left spring had come unclipped from drum housing, repositioned it (easier if undo bracket where it attaches to drum housing.)

Replaced door seal. Should I replace dampers?
