BEKO 8kg Loose Top
The top has become loose on my washing machine and is therefore making a lot of noise when spinning, does anyone know if the fixing of the top should be by screws which I assume have become loose and fallen out or are there clips that should slot in place but have become weakened?
thanks
John

The lid usually slots under 2 lugs at the front and is secured by 2 (or 3) screws at the back. If not under the lugs at the front you should be able to lift the lid up a little at the front. To remove a washing machine lid you usually remove the screws and then knock the lid back by hitting it with heel of hand at the front. If it is fitted correctly but still rattles try folding over a couple of pieces of cardboard and jamming them under the lid at the sides. It will stop the rattle for sure.

They are unlikely to be sold as spares. Just use any appropriately sized screws designed for metal. (not ones for wood). Borrow one from the back panel and see if it fits then use it as a template to find a couple of screws.

Thanks for this, it does look like the screws have come out of the lugs at the rear. However, I cannot see the screws inside or on the floor. Does anyone know where I could get the part number for these screws?
