Leaking Miele WT945...please help!

I have investigated possible sources of the leak using the useful diagnosis tool on this wonderful website but sadly, my problem doesn't appear to be covered...
Essentially, the machine leaks from the bottom left corner around the area of the drain pump as soon as a program starts and the machine begins to fill. It positively gushes out of the bottom into the metal tray that forms the base of the machine and I need to turn the machine off immediately to prevent a flood.
The machine is quite old but as a supplementary appliance, has been used sparingly and has never had any issues.
I have cleaned out the filter and removed and refitted the drain pump assembly to check that the rubber seal is good. The detergent and conditioner drawers are clear of any residue - in fact, detergent (Bold) has only ever been added directly to the wash using a dosing ball.
Any suggestions on what specific areas to check would be most welcome as this appears to be a sudden and catastrophic failure of a great appliance!

It's literally about observing where the water is coming from, or observing the tell tail water or detergent marks that show where the leak has been running. If water comes out immediately it should be relatively easy to see where it's coming from although a Miele washing machine can be difficult to move about. I would disconnect it from the mains and the plumbing. The ensure all the water has been drained out. Then lay the machine over on it's front and try to take off the back panel and bottom plate if possible to see if you can see a split seal or hole somewhere. If you can't get access to look properly there's nothing you can do except get in an engineer.
