Candy not always spinning replaced parts still getting error
I get an error 03 on washing, finding out it's a draining issue we cleaned out filter, then changed the pump.....still doing error so found out it could be pressure switch not saying drum is empty to spin so we changed that and I'm still getting the error 3. After getting the error if we turn off the power leave it a cpl of hours then use drain and spin function it works and spins. As a result though I never get the fabric softener cycle to go on. If we do the drain and spin straight away after the previous error we then get an error 16 but have no other electrical issues with it and it's the only time error 16 comes up. We are at a loss now as to what else is wrong to repair it? It's only just 3 years old.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated before we buy a new one after spending 70 pound on parts already! It's a candy gv168t3w 1-80 model if that helps.

Hello Donna. This is the danger of replacing parts based on a possibility that it might be the fault. The codes are very rarely if ever useful in implicating a part. They just give an area for an engineer to check. So for example, no error code will ever say that the pump is faulty. It would just say draining fault. So the error codes will only implicate the area to check. You then have to use diagnostic skills to work out the fault.
So for example if an error codes says that the fault is a draining issue and you can see the pump has burned out you need a new pump. If you can see that the pump is not running you have to work out why. A fault on the pump is only one of the possible reasons. So before even checking the filter you have to establish whether the water is being pumped out or not. Presumably it was. Otherwise a new pump would have fixed the problem.
A faulty pressure switch could indeed be not registering that the water has gone. But faulty pressure switches are rare. A much more likely causes is a blockage at the bottom of the pressure tubing which can trap air inside the pressure switch preventing it from switching off when the water has been pumped away. If left for a few hours this air pressure can slowly leak past the blockage, which from your description could be happening on yours.
