Beko washer
Hi I'm looking for help, I have a beko washer, I have put it into service mode, i select the option to spin the motor right and then left, it's meant to spin slowly but goes on full spin speed, would this suggest the pcb dc motor board needs replacing?
Thank you for any help
Pete

AI-generated from this discussion
This thread was marked as solved. Here's a summary of the problem and the fix, generated from the discussion below.
Beko washer spins at full speed in service mode instead of slow motor test
- The problem
- A Beko washing machine was put into service mode and the motor test for right/left slow rotation went straight to full spin speed.
- Likely cause
- The accepted reply says this could be a PCB fault, but a motor tacho fault was also suggested, specifically the tacho magnet on the motor being broken or having come off. No single cause was confirmed.
- What fixed it
- Check the motor feedback system, particularly whether the tacho magnet on the motor is damaged or detached, as well as the possibility of a PCB fault. The exact repair was not confirmed in the discussion.
- Checks to try
- Service mode motor test selected for right and left rotation
- Observed that the motor went to full spin speed instead of slow rotation
- Suggestion to inspect the motor tacho magnet
- Parts or tools mentioned
- PCB
- motor tacho magnet
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

It could be a PCB fault but it could be the tacho magnet on the motor that’s come off or broken.

There is information about motor tacho coil here - tacho coil on washing machine motor although if there are no carbon brushes in your motor it probably won't have a tacho coil.
