Hotpoint Aquarius wd aqd1170d 697e won't finish the cycle
Hi once again Andy!
My machine won't finish the cycle and you mentioned it may be the water heater. I tested this at 30 ohms.
You then mentioned that it could still be a heater fault. Could this fault be a relay on the main circuit board?
I am an electrician with electronic experience so I'm competent with safe isolation and familiar with component testing safely.
I just need a flow chart diagnosis in relation to water heater faults or even a list of possibilities please.
Sorry, I'm on a budget like most people these days.
Much appreciated Andy!

Yes it could be a heater relay but you can’t really repair the boards. I have an article with a little information about the heater relay but it might be better to send the PCB to QER for testing. I definitely would not speculatively replace it. I would normally recommend that if the heater tests out ok and no obvious connection faults you’ve done all you can.

Ahhh ok Andy, I do appreciate your reply on this one, thankyou.
The problem is there isn’t any schematics for them because the manufacturers never intend for them to be repaired. They’ve always just replaced the whole PCB for any fault no matter how minor.
