Hoover washer dryer making noise and won't finish cycle
Hello,
I have a Hoover HBWD 8514TAHC washer dryer which has been stuck before the final spin for some time today. I've noticed a noise coming from it which I hadn't heard before. Having taken off the back panel to listen more closely, it seems to be coming from the motor, and it does it when I manually move the drum whilst the machine is switched off too.
Can anybody advise on what the sound is, and whether or not this is repairable? Here's a video on Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iqa8irsfl95lezx/VID_20201011_140535.mp4?dl=0
Thanks,
Tom

Hello Tom. It's difficult to hear anything drastically wrong there although I can hear a strange noise high-pitched noise every so often. The main thing I noticed is that the drum and motor seem to be running quite unevenly. Was there a small load of laundry in when you took the video? It looked as if there was an unbalanced load in there, which can stop it from going into a fast spin. It might be better to try running it again without any laundry in at all.

Thanks Andy,
I put a small load in in the hope that would test if it works with less in, but it was a rather heavy wet towel, which I'm guessing wouldn't spread round to balance it out. I've tried with other loads and it seems to work now.
The noise is still there, the high pitched "ts" noise every second or two, but I'll see how it goes.
Thank you for your help!
Tom
