Hoover washer/dryer rattling/incredibly loud
We’ve just had a brand new integrated Hoover washer/dryer installed and when it’s spinning at its maximum speed it’s unbelievably loud and makes all sorts of banging noises. See videos below.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this?! Is it potentially faulty??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

New Hoover washer/dryer very loud on spin due to insecure installation
- The problem
- A brand new integrated Hoover washer/dryer was reported as unbelievably loud at maximum spin, with rattling and banging noises.
- Likely cause
- The strongest supported diagnosis is incorrect installation. The accepted reply states the appliance appears loose, possibly sitting too high or on something other than the floor, and not properly secured with fixing brackets between the floor and worktop, allowing movement during spin.
- What fixed it
- Check the fitting/installation instructions and ensure the integrated washer/dryer is installed at the correct height, standing properly on the floor, and secured with the correct fixing brackets so it cannot move during spin. The exact repair carried out was not confirmed.
- Checks to try
- Observed that the appliance appeared to be installed too high
- Considered whether it was standing on something other than the floor
- Checked whether fixing brackets were fitted to secure the appliance
- Reviewed the fitting instructions
- Parts or tools mentioned
- Fixing brackets
- Fitting instructions
Safety: Further diagnosis should be carried out by a suitably qualified appliance engineer.

Hi. To be honest it doesn't look installed properly. It looks high, is is stood on something other than the floor? Also there should be fixing brackets of some type to jam the washer between floor and worktop. Carefully examine the fitting instructions. The whole thing is loose and unsecured so will move about on spin.
