hoover-hdb5106 washer dryer taking a long time to dry

Hi,

I have a hoover-hdb5106 washer dryer that is taking longer than it used to dry clothes, and they still feel a bit damp. Def used to be better. Feels like the humidity doesn't get removed.

Gets hot and steamy in the drum, so all good with the heater.

Feel like I need to clean something but there's just the pump filter which is fine, not sure where the condenser is or how to tell if its working - I guess I could check the drain to see if water is coming out?

There seems to be very little manuals available, so looking for someone who can point me in the right direction.

thanks

Hello Kevin. If there was a fault would normally expect more severe symptoms, though if there is definitely a big change it could be that something is just starting to cause a problem.

I have an article about this kind of issue, although normally it's when it's much worse than that, that is the clothes are coming out hot and steamy but still wet through. It's worth reading because it gives an insight into how it all works. It may be that you have a partial blockage somewhere that is going to get worse.
