CANDY ALISE 1400 Washer dryer - GVSW485DCB/1 80 N: 3100805317286071 Bearing issue
Hi there, have a Candy washer dryer with a noisy bearing and the repair shop says bearings for this model are welded in to the drum and therefore a new drum is required. is this correct as I've never heard of this before and it seems such a waste as the machine is pretty new still?

I can't say for certain with this specific washing machine but yes it is very common for washing machines to have completely sealed drums and un-replaceable drum bearings these days. Especially the budget ones.

Golly, that's outrageous, I certainly won't buy candy again. When you pay over £400. for a washer dryer you surely expect some longevity with it.
